In 2006, Lou started writing and editing articles for Wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia. This is an interesting activity, because whatever Lou (or anyone) puts into the encyclopedia can later be changed by anyone else.
So far, Lou has made over 15,000 edits to Wikipedia, and has started over 400 new articles there, on a wide range of subjects, many of them related to his time as a Naval officer.
Each person who edits Wikipedia can have a user page that tells as much or as little about him as he wants. As you might imagine, Lou's user page is pretty extensive. It includes a complete list of the articles that he has started.
